🚨🔥 FIRE SAFETY ALERT – PLEASE READ

Big Horn Park Residents,

As we are all aware, our area has experienced extreme drought conditions over the past several years, increasing the risk of wildfire. We all play a role in protecting our homes, property, and surrounding forest.

Please take extra caution:

Please ensure that you and your guests follow all Grand County fire restrictions and use common sense when enjoying Big Horn Park.

  • No open fires
  • Do not discard cigarettes outdoors
  • Be cautious where you drive vehicles and ride ATVs
  • Stay off dry grass and sagebrush, If it looks like it could burn, stay off of it.

⚡ Important: Mountain Parks Electric has implemented wildfire prevention measures that may result in more frequent and longer power outages during high-risk conditions.

👉 For full details and a preparedness checklist, visit:
Fire Safety & Power Outages Page located on our Homepage.

📌 When opening the documents, you may need to right-click the links and select “Open Hyperlink” to access the information.

Thank you for your attention and in helping protect Big Horn Park. Let’s stay vigilant and do our part to keep our homes and community safe this fire season.

🔔 Hunting Access and Cabin Reservations in Big Horn Park

If you have guests that want to access public lands to hunt, a landowner must accompany them across all green areas. Reserving the Homestead Cabin for friends for the purpose of hunting also requires that the landowner be in Big Horn Park, accompany guests through green area's and take full responsibility for the actions of their guests.

📌 2018 Rule Reminder: Voted on and approved during 2018 Annual Meeting:

Landowners must be with guests at the green areas when non-nuclear family members are visiting or crossing through to access public lands.

Guests must be dropped off and picked up by the landowner.

Placards must be displayed and clearly visible when using green areas.

Fines will be imposed for violations.

🏡 Cabin Reservations: Reserving the Cabin for family and friends is a landowner benefit. Because the Cabin is on a green area, the landowner must supervise guests during the reservation period and remain in the park. The reserving landowner is responsible for the actions of their guests.

🔹 Important Reminder:  Parking and leaving your vehicle unattended on the roadways is prohibited, especially during the winter months. If you must temporarily park on the road, please remain nearby so you can move your vehicle if a snowplow or Grader comes through. An unattended vehicle parked on the road when the plows come through means that stretch of road does not get plowed—leaving you and your neighbors stuck. Please help keep roads clear and safe for everyone.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community accessible during all seasons.

📢 New Community Pages Now Available!

We are excited to introduce two new features on the Big Horn Park website designed to bring our community even closer together:

The Big Horn Trading Post – A place for property owners to buy, sell, or give away items within our community.

The Big Horn Pet Directory – Post your pet here so neighbors know who they belong to in case they wander off.

We encourage all property owners to check out these new pages and participate. They’re a great way to stay connected and support one another!

Community Reminder:
Vacation Home rentals and business operations are not allowed in Big Horn Park per Grand County regulations.

About Big Horn Park

Big Horn Park is located northeast of Kremmling, accessed by Grand County Roads 2 and 22. It is about a 25 minute drive into Kremmling from Big Horn Park. This subdivision is private and remote, with an electronic gate to access the area. There are 167 lots in the subdivision ranging anywhere from 2 acres to 9 or more acres.
